As a computer science researcher, Zsófia spent decades in artificial intelligence research at MTA SZTAKI, and later at various Dutch institutions. She founded the Creative Technology interdisciplinary program at the University of Twente. In 2009, she joined MOME, where she established TechLab, which has fostered novel applications of digital technologies in cultural heritage communication. Her team and students from the Digital Museum university course have designed and partially implemented nearly 120 applications for more than 20 institutions. She has shared her expertise at a dozen international and local forums, and through workshops and digital curatorship consultancy.
