AI Video Creation – Hands-on Workshop

A 2-day hands-on intensive for creative minds who want to make films with AI

English Language Course

These two days are hands-on and in person. You’ll make images, turn them into video, and give them sound and a voice. But the point isn’t the clip you go home with. It’s understanding how the whole thing fits together, so that afterwards you can keep going on your own.

AI video tools change every month. A new model, a new platform, a new set of promises — faster than anyone can keep up with. It’s easy to either write the whole thing off or get lost in it.

Course goal

What you leave with is a working map of AI video creation — broad enough that you understand what’s possible, practical enough that you can start on your own project straight away.

That means covering ground rather than drilling into a single tool.

You’ll leave understanding the shape of the whole process: how an idea becomes a prompt, how a prompt becomes an image, how an image becomes a shot, and how shots become something people want to watch — and where the real difficulty sits.

You’ll also leave thinking a little differently — sometimes even about your own process. Making films with AI isn’t the same job done faster. The order changes, the decisions change, and you often arrive somewhere you hadn’t planned. Learning to work with that — rather than against it — is a large part of what these two days are for.

It's for you if

  • you make things — in an agency, a studio, a creative team, or alone on personal work and art projects;
  • you already have a sense of how a film or a campaign comes together, and you want to know what changes when AI enters the process;
  • you want to use these tools yourself, not just brief someone else who does;
  • you are curious about AI video but don’t know where to start, or you’ve experimented and want a structure underneath it;
  • you want an honest picture of what these tools can and cannot do in real work;
  • you are comfortable learning fast and working with your hands for two days.

It's not for you if

  • you don’t intend to use AI in your own creative projects or you want to watch rather than work.
  • You are already advanced and want the fine detail, or you want to master one specific tool end to end — this is a foundation course covering the whole process.
  • You want technical training: ComfyUI, node-based pipelines, custom model training, APIs, fine-tuning, LoRAs or infrastructure.
  • You expect the tools to do the creative thinking for you.

Programme (WIP)

Day 1 (2026.11.20 – 9:00-18:00) — Foundations

  1. Where AI video actually is right now: what is real, what is marketing
  2. Thinking in AI — a different mentality: letting the process reshape the idea, and knowing when to let it
  3. The landscape — models, platforms and what each one is good at
  4. Generating images: prompting as direction, not description
  5. Controlling the result — iteration, reference and consistency
    • Re-stylization: taking an image you already have and changing its look
    • Where consistency goes further: LoRAs and trained references — what they are and when they’re worth it
  6. From image to motion: generating video
  7. First hands-on exercise: a sequence of your own

Day 2 (2026.11.21 – 9:00-18:00) — Depth

  1. Cinematography and camera control — directing the shot, not just generating it
  2. Raising the difficulty: harder shots, harder ideas
    • Video input: using footage to drive generation
    • Re-stylizing video you already have
  3. Sound: why it carries more than the picture
  4. Voice and voiceover — AI voice tools, direction and performance
  5. Music and atmosphere
  6. Assembly — bringing it together into something that reads as a film
  7. Building your own pipeline: how to continue after the course
    • Node-based platforms: what they unlock, and whether you need them

The programme adapts to the group, and the tools we use are chosen close to the date — in this field, anything fixed months in advance is out of date by the time you arrive

What to bring

  • Your own laptop.
  • Accounts. Paid platform accounts will be provided for the course.

Experience: No formal prerequisite. The course is recommended for people who already understand how creative work gets produced — you’ve been on a shoot, run a campaign, cut a video, or built something from an idea to a finished piece. You don’t need to have used AI at all; that’s the point. If you’re starting from zero on both counts, you can still follow the two days, but expect to do more catching up afterwards.

Instructor

Carlos Ramas Santamaria

Creative director · AI filmmaker

Years in advertising and creative direction, now making films with AI tools. Not an AI researcher — a director who has been figuring these tools out in real work, and teaches what actually held up in production.

Carlos has worked with global brands including McDonald’s and Telekom, and spent several years as a creative lead for LEGO’s in-house agency, developing worldwide campaigns for the brand team. His work sits at the point where craft and curiosity meet: understanding not just how to make something, but how to make people feel something.

Today he is a film director at Silverside AI, an AI innovation lab working with brands including Coca-Cola, Amazon, Panasonic and Marc Jacobs, where he directs AI-generated video content for advertising alongside his own personal work.
