The dynamic and rapidly evolving technological landscape marked with AI, Web3, and the Metaverse has profoundly impacted our society. The rise of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) or the tokenized digital art ecosystem disrupts the creative industry.
This course dives into the implications of this trendsetting technology and provides participants with a comprehensive understanding of how NFTs, their communities, and markets function. The curriculum situates NFTs within deep historical lineages: From Ancient token economies to the conceptual and computer art of the 1960s and the contemporary meme culture. This course examines artistic and creative productions and asks how professionals might respond to the rise of decentralized technologies as they seek to shape a more equitable digital future.
The course includes crypto artist Daim Aggott Hönsch as a guest speaker from the heart of the NFT space and concludes with a short project for students to apply their knowledge.
